TE REO MAORI

 

J    Who can enrol?

Any student who has successfully completed Year 9 Te Reo.

 

J    Costs:

A published work book $12.

Cost of field trips.

 

J    Course outline:

Emphasis is placed on the learning and use of oral language, both listening and speaking.  You will also begin to read and write the language.  As well as revising previous language learnt, new topics include:  Nga takaro (sports), Nga kai (foods), Nga mahi i te kainga (events around the home), Tutaki Tangata (meeting people), Haere Whakangahau (entertainment), Nga Wahanga o te tinana (parts of the body).  The language of each topic is based on everyday events and experiences enabling you to use the language outside the classroom.

JAPANESE STAGE 2

Students who have completed Year 9 Japanese.

HOD discretion.

$5 workbook

 

J    Course outline:

Builds on skills developed in Year 9 and prepares for entry to School Certificate Japanese.

 

J    Assessment:

Topic tests plus assignments as set by class teacher.

 

J    This course leads to:

Year 11 Japanese
