and is essential for entry. J

zips etc. J

outline: Basic understanding of: -
Design & design process. -
Developing practical techniques & processes. -
Producing articles & garments with some elements of
own choice. J
Assessment: Internal assessment of projects, design and related
studies by expected criteria. J

course leads to: Year 10 Fabric Technology and NCEA units of work. J

TECHNOLOGY & NUTRITION J
Who can enrol? Open to all students. J
Costs: A course fee of $15 to cover material costs and an
additional $3 for course workbook. J

Introduction to the Food Technology room and basic
cooking skills. n
Safe food handling practices. n
Nutritional needs of self and others. n
Food technology units. n
Ethnic cookery. J
Assessment: On-going practical assessments and Achievement-based
assessment under both the Health and Physical Education, and Technology
curriculums. J
