NCEA Level 1

Open entry, but ideally students should be studying NCEA Level 1 Mathematics.

The Year 11 Accounting Course aims to:

Ë             develop students' understanding of the role of accounting in society as a financial language for individuals, community organisations and businesses.

Ë             provide students with knowledge of the principles, processes and systems of accounting.

Ë             enable students to apply financial knowledge and skills to practical situations.

 

J    Assessment:

There are EIGHT Achievement Standards in the course and they contribute 24 credits towards the Level 1 National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA).

TEXT & INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

 

NCEA Level 1

 

J     Who can enrol?

Students who have completed the Year 10 T.I.M. option.

 

J     Costs:

10c per page/laser printout.

 

J     Course outline:

Students consolidate the skills of entering text and applying planning and design skills to create documents.  They learn to use computer technology easily and effectively and are able to apply their skills in all learning areas.
